Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and makes no requests to any third party. That is unusual enough to be worth explaining.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no forms on this site, no account to create, no newsletter, and no tracking of any kind.

What we do not run

This matters more here than on most sites. People read pages like these while their account is being drained, or after a threatening phone call. Nobody should have to weigh whether looking something up creates a record.

Server logs

The site is served as static files. Whoever hosts it may keep standard server logs — typically IP address, timestamp and page requested — for operational and security purposes. We do not use those logs to build any profile, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Before launch — fill this inName your host and state their log retention period. If you use a CDN, name it. If you can turn logging off or shorten retention, do it and say so here.

Links to other sites

Nearly every page links to a government regulator, a statute or a court. Those are ordinary links — following one takes you to a site with its own privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for.

We do not use link-tracking redirects. A link to a state regulator goes straight there.

Referral links

Where we link to a credit union or another partner and may earn a fee, that link is marked rel="sponsored" and the arrangement is described on our methodology page. Following such a link may share standard referral information with that organisation. Government and statutory citations are never affiliate links.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we knowingly collect no information from anyone.

Your rights

Data protection law gives people rights of access, correction and deletion over personal data held about them. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, email contact@paydaywatch.org and we will check.

Changes

If this ever changes — if we add a form, or analytics, or anything else — we will say so here and date the change, and it will appear on our corrections page. We will not quietly start collecting things.

Before launch — lawyerHave this read against GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and any state privacy law that applies to your visitors. The substance is accurate; the drafting is not legal work.
