PaydayWatch is published by Resultex Media Group LLC, 112 Main St., Suite 210, East Rockaway, NY 11518. References to “we” and “us” on this site mean that company.
PaydayWatch publishes information about payday and high-cost lending law, and about complaints filed against lenders with a federal agency. Everything is sourced and cited.
It is not legal advice. We are not lawyers and nothing here creates a lawyer-client relationship. Whether a law applies to your loan depends on facts specific to it — where it was made, who made it, what you signed and when.
It is not financial advice. We do not know your circumstances and cannot recommend a course of action.
It is not a substitute for a regulator or a lawyer. Where a page names a regulator, contact them. Legal aid offices handle consumer credit matters routinely and are normally free.
We verify against primary sources — statutes, regulators and courts — and monitor those sources for change. Every figure links to where it came from.
Even so, law changes and pages go stale. We have already found this on our own site and published the correction. Check the source before relying on anything here, especially where money or a legal position turns on it.

Complaint figures come from the CFPB Consumer Complaint Database, a public federal dataset. Complaints are allegations and are published by the Bureau after the company responds or after 15 days, whichever comes first. A complaint is not a finding of wrongdoing.
State law descriptions are our reading of published statutes and regulator materials, cited so you can check them.
If a company believes something here is wrong, send the correction with a source to contact@paydaywatch.org. We will check it against the primary source, correct it if we have it wrong, and publish the correction with a date — and we will publish the fact that you asked. We do not take pages down.
Resultex Media Group LLC is a New York limited liability company, so New York law is the likely choice. The clause itself still needs drafting by a lawyer — a governing law and venue provision that has not been reviewed is worth very little, and a badly drafted one can be worse than none.
